1. What data we collect
We collect only what's necessary to deliver Bharat Bot AI:
- Account information: full name, email and (for Google sign-in) profile picture.
- Chat content you send to the assistant, including text and any images you upload.
- Basic technical data such as device type and language for accessibility.
2. How we use your data
- To generate AI responses and provide the service you requested.
- To personalise tone, nickname and language preferences in your account.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We never sell your personal data. We do not use your chats to train models without consent.
3. Chat data and storage policy
- Guest chats (used without an account) are stored only in your browser via local storage. Clearing your browser deletes them.
- Signed-in chats are stored securely with end-to-end transit encryption (HTTPS) and at-rest encryption.
- You can clear any conversation from the chat screen at any time.
4. Your rights under DPDP Act 2023
As a Data Principal you have the right to:
- Access and obtain a copy of your personal data.
- Correct or update inaccurate information.
- Erase your data and delete your account.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Lodge a grievance with us and the Data Protection Board of India.
